Welcome to the Big Bend Branch of APWA

“The American Public Works Association is an international educational and professional association of public agencies, private sector companies, and individuals dedicated to providing high-quality public works goods and services.” Our chapter is an organization of more than 100 members dedicated to the promotion and understanding of Public Works services and professions in a nine county area across the north central portion of Florida (Franklin, Gadsden, Hamilton, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla Counties).

Every day, members of the Public Works and related professions diligently work to ensure the safety and convenience we have come to expect in our daily lives. We are made up of many individuals representing both public agencies and private sector companies dedicated to providing high quality public works goods and services. Collectively, we are responsible for the development and maintenance of safe drinking water, sewer collection, trash collection, gas, and electric utilities; roadway networks; stormwater quality and flood control; public lands, parks, and community centers; animal control; and many other important activities that keep our communities up and running every day.

In 2010, our chapter celebrates its 25th anniversary and we have many exciting activities planned for this year including our annual Road-E-O, Awards Banquet, and fundraiser events. Please take the time to explore our website to learn more about us and the exciting activities we have planned this year. Hopefully you will discover that you would like to join us either as a member, sponsor, or community supporter.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website!
