Please join us for our February 2026 APWA Meeting! Our featured speaker, Lynn Walker, PE from the City’s Environmental Services (ES) Department, will be presenting on the organization of the ES Dept. and the services provided by the Environmental Regulatory Compliance Division. Lanita “Lynn” Walker, PE is the Environmental Regulatory Compliance Division Administrator for the City of Tallahassee, where she manages the Environmental Regulatory Compliance and Aquifer Protection/Industrial Pretreatment Programs.
Lanita “Lynn” Walker, PE is the Environmental Regulatory Compliance Division Administrator for the City of Tallahassee, where she manages the Environmental Regulatory Compliance and Aquifer Protection/Industrial Pretreatment Programs. She is a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer with more than 20 years of experience across municipal government, state regulatory agencies, private industry, and environmental consulting.
Ms. Walker advises executive leadership and elected officials on environmental policy, regulatory strategy, and compliance risk, translating complex technical and regulatory issues into actionable information to support informed decision-making. Her expertise spans environmental remediation, water quality, wastewater permitting, solid and hazardous waste management, chemical management, and regulatory compliance with EPA, RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, CWA, CAA, and state environmental programs. She is a member and contributing author with the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council (ITRC) for nationally recognized technical guidance associated with Contaminants of Emerging Concern, PFAS, Stormwater BMP Performance, and Remediation of Complex Sites. Ms. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and is recognized for her collaborative leadership and results-driven approach to environmental stewardship.
